Come join Bernie Dellario as he returns for his fourth workshop at the Castello di Petroia, a location of breathtaking beauty in the hills of Umbria. A gifted and ever popular instructor, Bernie could fill workshops anywhere, but he returns year after year to the Castello and its unparalleled painting opportunities. Whether capturing the soft hues of dawn over the mist-filled valleys of the surrounding estate, the architectural details of the tenth century castle, or a live model in the olive grove beneath its walls, Bernie‘s theme of “Less is More” will inspire you to pare down your gear and focus on the true essentials of plein air painting. Combine this with five-star accommodations, superb food and wine, and excellent company, we guarantee you will not forget this workshop.
The venue for this week-long art immersion is the 10th Century Castello di Petroia, an authentic medieval fortress perched on a hilltop between the towns of Perugia and Gubbio, with inspiring views of the surrounding landscape. The castle, birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino (b.1422), is surrounded by a 600-acre traditional Umbrian farm with beautiful olive groves, hiking and horse-riding trails, meadows, woods and abundant wildlife.
• Maximum 2 occupants per room, double occupancy not required.
