Catherine Bobkoski is a still life and figurative artist whose work celebrates the quiet beauty of ordinary things. Her expressive, yet delicate paintings of flowers and still life scenes are exhibited nationally, including at the Oil Painters of America 2021 National Juried Exhibition. Catherine also enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of painting with others. She is a sought after painting instructor with over 10 years of experience and teaches at many art schools throughout Southern California. Students describe Catherine’s teaching style as generous, thorough and joyful. She especially enjoys teaching painting and drawing basics to students in a clear, concise way that is easy to understand. Catherine began studying drawing and painting at The Watts Atelier in Encinitas, California and later at Grand Central Academy and New York University in New York City. She has also studied with many inspiring artists along the way, including Daniel Keys, Dustin Van Wechel, and Vadim Zang.

I watched this video nd thoroughly enjoyed it! Catherine is a very good teacher and I appreciate her style. You would think she has been a water colorist all her life! I’ve decided to take her course on photographing yoir references because I enjoyed this so much. I’ll also consider her other courses as well! Thanks so much for this wonderful program!
Loved this demo! I had to watch the recording, but took notes and hoping to try it myself. Excellent explanation of steps including water to pigment ratio, glazing techniques and softening edges.
