Thank you! I enjoyed watching how the gelli plate was incorporated as yet another vehicle for aiding the abstraction.
Logical and yet magical and spontaneous. That is a difficult line to walk. Scott does this brilliantly. It is a pleasure to watch and listen to his process. Thank you!
Great demonstration. I love hearing his thoughts on how by “playing” in a sketchbook it is less precious and more freeing for experimenting. Looking forward to making some “play” time. Thanks Scott
Scott – great presentation – so fun to see you paint again – love the detail on your process
thank you

How I loved watching as Scott’s mark making process within sketchbooks. This was super inspirational. Thank you!
Watching this demonstration I wonder why not even one tiny little aspect of Scott Gellatly’s approach to abstract his originals – photo or other – has ever occurred to me. I can’t wait to try it out. I have been struggling with translating ideas into shape and colour: take the idea being in Scott’s work a photo perhaps. There is no reason why this shouldn’t work! Thank you very much for your demo and explanations. And I look forward to others to come!
