Art-making demands courage. While the desire to create is powerful, it often comes with internal challenges—mental roadblocks that hinder consistency and optimal conditions for artistic work. Thriving as an artist may require significant lifestyle changes to prioritize creativity.
Mindset is the most critical factor. Unhelpful or even destructive thoughts can hold us back, keeping us from experimenting, growing, and fully expressing ourselves.This talk will explore key mindset shifts to strengthen creative practice, build self-confidence, and propel artistic development forward.

Yana Beylinson is a contemporary NJ / NYC painter who has exhibited in the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Principle Gallery, and many others. She had a solo show “Synesthesia” at Abend Gallery in Denver, CO in 2022. Beylinson’s work has won a number of awards and belongs to private collections internationally. Her paintings were included in the public collection of the Emergency Department of Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY. Beylinson has created large-scale installations in Hong Kong and China. Having studied at the New York Academy of Art and the School of Visual Arts, Beylinson expanded her knowledge through extensive travel and study of art history.
