Let’s shine our art love on Dolly Parton while increasing our drawing skills in this one hour work-along. Kato will demo in pencil using a grid but all mediums and styles are welcome! A grid can be a super helpful tool, especially when learning to draw. A grid helps to simplify what we see into shapes, values and relationships. Grids are very useful to help draw technically accurate man-made objects, portraits and pets or when enlarging an image for a mural.

Draw Dolly’s Rolling Stone cover with me or choose your own favorite reference photo. Feel free to browse my Dolly Parton Pinterest Page for inspiration. We’ll draw as much as we can in our hour, then continue to work on your drawing/painting longer if you like and when you’re happy with it, please share your Dolly tribute art below.
