Art Chat (Online) – Special Author Event with Landscape Painter Mitchell Albala; Thursday, October 22 – 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm UK Time

Longtime instructor at Winslow Art Center, and best-selling author Mitchell Albala will be joining us for our October 22 Art Chat to discuss his latest (and third) book. You’ll hear the answer to the question he’s asked most often: How does this new book differ from his previous books on landscape painting? Mitchell will give a brief overview of the new topics, exercises, and demonstrations in the book, and showcase some of the extraordinary painters whose work illustrates the lessons. He’ll also give a presentation on color temperature — a topic covered in one of the book’s chapters — so you can walk away with some practical strategies to apply to your own paintings. The event will wrap up with time for audience Q&A on all things landscape painting.
