Eve Miller – Creating Atmosphere and Mood in the Landscape (Online Class Recording)

Atmosphere and mood are catalysts for the emotional involvement of the viewer. They rely on aerial perspective as well as the visual poetry created by color harmony.

This demo will show you techniques for strong compositions that portray the landscape in an evocative and engaging sense of place.

Eve Miller is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a member of the Master Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies. Eve is a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, a Member of Excellence in the Southeastern Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of Spain and Fellow Maxima Cum Laude at the American Artist Professional League among other memberships. Her works have been featured in numerous publications including Pratiques des Arts in France and Fine Art Connoisseur.

As an art instructor and mentor she also conducts workshops at home and abroad. Her goal is to share how to communicate the random beauty one finds in the landscape by utilizing the elements of design. Her goal is to establish a spiritual connection between herself, the painting, and the viewer.

Discover specific art techniques that you can ‘take away’ from some of your favorite artists and apply to your own work. This one-and-a-half hour recorded presentation will showcase a process that the artist incorporates in their daily art practice. Instruction will be through a combination of lecture and demonstration.

You’ll be able to watch the recording as many times as you would like for two months (for example, for a purchase on March 4th at noon, the recording would be available until May 4th at noon).
