Medium: Oil
Level: All levels welcome
Class Dates: Fridays, Fridays, December 4 & 11, 2026
Class Times:

In this two-session workshop, Catherine Bobkoski will guide you through the complete process of creating an original still life painting in oil, from the initial setup and composition all the way to a finished, developed work.

Over two weeks, you will learn how to arrange and observe a still life from life, make thoughtful decisions about composition and design, and build a painting with intention and clarity.

Along the way we will explore the power of a limited color palette, investigate how different textures and surfaces can enrich a composition, and discuss how to think through the development of a painting at each stage, from the first simple marks to a resolved and complete statement.

This workshop is ideal for painters who want to slow down, look more carefully, and bring greater depth and intention to their still life practice. All levels welcome.
