Challenge yourself to dig deeper and further develop your work. Gain more experience and confidence through further exploration in your oil painting practice.

• Discussions on composition, planning, and editing to “build” a painting.
• Experiment with additional techniques to add texture, unique mark-making and layering to your paintings. 
• Further explore how to create special effects with Galkyd, Galkyd Gel and Neo Megilp.
• Instructor demonstrations each week. Demos and examples will have a landscape focus. Experienced artists can translate these ideas and techniques to the focus of your own nature-based work.
• Group critique sessions each week.

Mark Russell has been creating landscape and nature paintings for more than 30 years. He has exhibited his work in group shows, in galleries and museums across the country and won numerous awards.
