Through instructor demonstrations, you’ll learn new ways to create abstracted landscape paintings using unique tools, materials, and techniques. You’ll also be introduced to the use of cold wax medium, Galkyd, Galkyd Gel and Neo Megilp as additions to your current oil painting practice. The workshop also addresses planning, composition, seeing and reacting, abstracting and simplifying shapes, using unique and unconventional color, and creating unique effects.

This Abstraction in Nature Part 1 foundation class is required before enrolling in Mark Russell’s Abstraction in Nature Part 2: Digging Deeper workshop.
