Develop tools and techniques for capturing the effects of rapidly changing sunsets. Through studio practice you can prepare yourself for a successful approach to capturing the sunset in plein air.
Bernie will talk through four sunset demo sketches and describe the process for each. Topics to be covered include:
· Painting rapidly
· Getting clean color
· Abstracting the complexity of the sky
· Edge variety and control
· Plein air strategy
Bernard Dellario earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with emphasis on finance and art history. He studied Art at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia and attended several workshops with nationally known artists. He has been a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters since 2003. Fondly known as WSLP, one of the oldest active artist organizations in the Washington area, Bernard currently serves as President. He teaches painting classes through several venues, has won national awards and exhibits throughout the Maryland Eastern Shore and Washington, DC region. www.bjdellario.com

About Our Past Technique Takeaways:
Discover specific art techniques that you can ‘take away’ from some of your favorite artists and apply to your own work. This one-and-a-half hour recorded presentation will showcase a process that the artist incorporates in their daily art practice. Instruction will be through a combination of lecture and demonstration.
You’ll be able to watch the recording as many times as you would like for two months (for example, for a purchase on March 4th at noon, the recording would be available until May 4th at noon).
