Turn your travel photos into fresh, expressive sketchbook paintings in this three-week class with Brian McPhee. Working in gouache or acrylics, students will create a series of simple studies in their sketchbooks while learning to simplify complex scenes, identify strong shapes, understand value relationships, and use local color as the foundation for vibrant paintings. The focus is on seeing clearly, painting efficiently, and developing stronger design and color skills through regular sketchbook practice.
