Holiday Gingerbread Postcards in Mixed Media with Susan Wiersema
The Holidays are here, and the smell of gingerbread is everywhere. We all have memories of rich ginger-flavored cookies with brightly colored frosting. Susan Wiersema will take you step by step through the process of using mixed dry and water media to create beautiful and colorful postcards worthy of sharing with all your family and friends. When we finish, we'll take a moment to enjoy the incredible artwork we have created, grab a cup of tea, and eat our gingerbread subjects.
Susan Wiersema earned a BFA from the California State University of San Bernardino with a major in Photographic Arts and a minor in Graphic Arts. After graduating she worked a number of jobs including photographic printer and retoucher, photographer, framer, exhibit designer and docent for NASA. She also worked for Daniel Smith, where she learned all about art materials and supplies. Susan worked for Bainbridge Arts and Crafts for ten years where she hung artwork, designed exhibitions and window displays, and showed her work. She has taken part in a number of group and individual shows on Bainbridge Island.
