Thanks Martha, Ellen and Christine for this interesting and thoughtful discussion. The opportunity for teaching and showing work online will continue to open up so many opportunities for artists and galleries. I too have embraced the technology to teach classes on zoom and to learn from watching demos, taking classes, etc online by other artists. I do have to say that the experience of seeing work first online, then seeing it in person in a gallery is quite surprising. The photograph online does not truly represent the work seen in person. But it’s better than not seeing the work because the gallery is too far away.
