Raised in an arts-enriched world with artist parents, Amis Balcomb was involved in art making from an early age. Pursuing and learning artistic processes has been a lifelong passion of hers. For her entire life, she has been looking at and making art. Amis loves both tech and the traditional arts of drawing, painting, mixed media and clay. She also loves teaching art and helping people learn skills that ignite their creative engines. Amis has been teaching visual art for the last 20 years and believes that we learn by simply doing projects that embrace a step-by-step process that encourages creative thinking to emerge and enables us to develop confidence through skill building. Amis lives in Seattle, WA.
