As 2023 comes to a close, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for being a part of Winslow Art Center. To the amazing artists who teach with Winslow Art Center, your creativity, passion and dedication are inspirational. To the wonderful Winslow Team, your commitment and hard work are unsurpassed, and to all of you, our Winslow Art Center family, thank you for your continued support and loyalty.
I’ve been reflecting on my favorite moments from 2023, while thinking ahead to what the New Year has in store.
My favorite WAC memories from 2023?
I have so many, both online and in-person. it’s hard to decide!
In-person, definitely the Winslow Art Center Travel Workshops – both in Italy and Croatia- are at the top! Two of my daughters and my grandkids live in Europe, so I get to combine family time with travel and art and connect with amazing artists from all over the world. The atmosphere on the workshops is so special, which is something that I hear again and again from participants. Camaraderie is key and the shared experiences- intensive art lessons, gourmet meals, stimulating conversations, cooking classes, star gazing and cultural explorations- are at the heart of these trips.
Online, my weekly Art Chat is a highlight for me. I get to check in every Thursday with old and new friends, both guest artists and Art Chat participants, to chat and help artists share their stories, an important mission for me.
My 2024 art resolution?
To actually make time to create! I started Winslow Art Center over 12 years ago as a way to move my own art practice forward and connect with great instructors. I’m very inspired by our upcoming classes and plan to schedule the time to join in.
Here’s to a New Year filled with endless possibilities and many moments to be experienced! I’d love to hear what’s coming up for you in 2024, please leave a reply in the comments.
Warmly,
Martha
