  1. I have Mitches book, and while be been painting for years my instant recall fails me because there will be weeks between each painting session. Some lives are just like that. Mitch’s book is a marvelous refresher of those sound, proven elements/principles in easily understood explanations. I’m reading with my highlighter and now disciplining myself to better planning a painting. All too often I get stuck and don’t know how to finish for that very reason—I didn’t think it through. With Mitch’s book I can review several pages (having thoroughly read through), and
    I believe ive got some pretty good finished paintings ahead of me. I watched the entire presentation today, Martha, and I am so indebted to you and Winslow Art Center’s knowledgeable, sophisticated Artists.
