I love the both of you and what you each individually bring to the art table. Great synergy here. Thank you for this rich, insightful conversation. I agree with Martha…part 2 would be wonderful.
“this was a fantastic rich conversation between Mark and Zoe” (Sarah H)–I agree totally. I learned so much-thank you for your preparation for this chat. My ‘big take away’ was to explore the continuum of abstraction to representation. This helped me to explain my inclination for both and realize that I can accept both in myself. I have struggled with this dichotomy for a long time and so thank you both for your enlightening conversation.
Great conversation. Most of the examples in this conversation are large scale, do you think abstract needs to be large scale (something that you can experience is “walk into the space”) vs a small painting?
Watched the recording–fantastic! I loved the dialog between both of you, and the discussion of abstraction in its numerous forms. Great examples from many artists I love and many I was unfamiliar with. I hope there’s more Art Chats with this format–centered around topics in art and dialog with a few artists. Thank you!
Wow.. what a great talk and collaboration! Thank you all!
Loved this conversation. Thank you for introducing me to Deborah Moss. The interplay between her paintings and her garden as expressed in her shared journal entries resounded with me.
Oh my gosh this was a fantastic rich conversation between Mark and Zoe. I would LOVE to see another conversation between these two!
