Along the way we’ll expand your color ranges into previously unexplored territories.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to:

  • Mix colors using a limited color palette to get a wider range of shades of muted and saturated colors;
  • Add harmonizing colors while avoiding clashing colors;
  • Use simple color wheel logic to explore color combinations;
  • Create color studies to explore color combination possibilities;
  • Apply basic rules of color and emotions.

All color mediums are welcome in this class (oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and color pencil, procreate).  The painting demos will done with acrylic

This workshop will include painting demos, student work feedback sessions, slideshow presentations, and eye training exercises. These combinations of activities are designed to help refine your painting techniques and observation skills. Photo references will be provided for all painting assignments.
