Wayne Jiang – Acrylic Boot Camp and Beyond (Online); Fridays, August 15-29, 2025

Date: Fridays, August 15-29, 2025
Time: 10:00 am-12:30 pm Pacific / 1:00-3:30 pm Eastern / 6:00-8:30 pm UK time
Level: All
Medium: Acrylics

Bridge your creative potential by learning essential acrylic techniques. This is a workshop for anyone transitioning to acrylic as well as anyone who already paints in acrylic and wants to learn more acrylic techniques. We’ll start with techniques familiar with watercolorists and oil painters with small adjustments in acrylic and end with acrylic layering techniques that take advantage of acrylic’s fast-drying time.

This workshop will have a combination of slideshow presentations, painting demos, and critiques.

During each presentation, Wayne will give an overview of a specific acrylic technique along with its do’s and don’ts. Following the presentation, Wayne will create a painting demonstrating that particular technique.

You’ll also learn specific techniques for an easy transition from oil or watercolor to acrylic. Based on your painting style and experience, Wayne will guide you to choose the right acrylic materials so you can save time and money while creating a better painting.

During the critique, Wayne will suggest simple and effective adjustments tailored specifically to help you take your acrylic painting to the next level.
