Anytime is a good time to travel and nothing is better for the travelling artist than keeping a travel sketchbook to enhance and capture the experience. It requires capturing the subject quickly with the bare minimum of line and colour. You must simplify, leave things out, and make the most of the materials.
Tim introduces ways to enhance your on-the-spot drawings and paintings and create sketchbooks filled with narrative and life. Whether you’re capturing stories of people in bustling urban settings or quiet moments in cafes, the emphasis will be on spontaneity, style, and experimenting with various media.
You’ll be introduced to convenient, expressive sketching tools like brush pens, fountain pens, and Posca markers—perfect for capturing quick, engaging snapshots of city life.
The emphasis will be on working intuitively with pencil, ink, watercolour and more
