A two-week course exploring more ways of incorporating mixed media with soft pastels. Demonstrating how mediums such as acrylic inks, watercolour and gouache can very successfully be used in conjunction with pastel. The course will be full of tricks, tips and practical advice to inspire students to try and mix things up a bit. With demonstrations to break down the processes involved and a clear and approachable method which can lead to the creation of dynamic, loose and contemporary paintings. As ever with Richard, pastels will feature strongly in this course but there will also be much of interest for painters who are interested in mixed media practices and looking to loosen up their style.
