In this four week class, you will learn how to create dynamic still life paintings through identifying better composition, simplification, and fundamental color theory. The lessons will help you look freshly at what you see by identifying its fundamental, abstract elements—value, line, shape, and color—to build more energetic compositions. Be prepared to be challenged artistically, develop insights, and have fun.

Open to all painters. Each session will include a presentation and demonstration, painting exercises and optional instructional review of student work. A materials list will be supplied at registration. Philip will be painting in oil color.
