Discover methods for creating expressive portrait drawings with master artist Ned Mueller. Ned will demonstrate techniques such as drawing from the shoulder, working from large to small shapes, and with the support of thoughtful lines, show you how to construct a more expressive free portrait without being tied to traditional measuring techniques. He will work in compressed charcoal and/or Bistre conte.
Ned Mueller is an accomplished and highly respected artist with over sixty-five years of drawing and painting. He is the only Artist in the Northwest that has been designated as a “Master Artist” with both the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society. He is a graduate of the prestigious Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles. He has participated in numerous major invitational shows in the country, has shown in some of the Finest Galleries in the country and has won numerous awards and is included in many private fine art collections. He is a Signature member of the Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Plein Air Painters of America. California Art Club, Northwest Pastel Society, Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists, Northwest Rendezvous Group, and the American Society of Marine Artists. He continues to challenge himself to grow artiscally.
