This four-part portrait painting course is designed to be joyful, liberating, and deeply inspiring. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an experienced painter, the classes invite you to step away from technical rules and traditional methods and lean into intuition, play, and emotional expression, while still aiming for accuracy in our depictions. We will approach line, colour, composition, and feeling through dynamic, energising exercises that use a range of materials chosen to excite and encourage your creative instincts. Each session will guide you toward completing a finished piece, gradually building confidence and momentum as we move toward creating a vibrant 3/4 portrait in the final class, leaving you with a renewed sense of invigoration, permission, and possibility, and painting in a way that feels true to both your inner and outer world.
