Monday Morning Modernism with John Seed (Recordings)

Recorded first Monday of the month in 2022-2023

Join art writer John Seed on the first Monday of each month for a 45 minute talk on Modernism. Each presentation will provide an overview of important topics in the development of modern art and culture and will be followed by a 10 minute Q and A session.

John Seed is a Professor Emeritus of Art and Art History at Mount San Jacinto College, where he taught “Introduction to Modernism” for over 30 years before retiring from full-time teaching in 2017. Seed’s views were influenced by the book and video series “Shock of the New,” by Robert Hughes, which served as the textbook for the course.
