Using a relatively limited palette, Molly will guide you through her palette choices,which include the three primary colors in warms and cools. and a select number of additional paints. She will mix colors to represent natural subjects–trees, mountains, water, and sky, as well as explaining how colors change depending on time of day. The  rich colors and mixtures you’ll discover will help you achieve subtle paintings that glow!

Molly Hashimoto is the author of Colors of the West: An Artist’s Guide to Nature’s Colors and Birds of the West: An Artist’s Guide.  Her upcoming book, Mt. Rainier: An Artist’s Tour will be released September 1, 2021. (All are published by Mountaineers Books).  She has exhibited widely and teaches for many outdoor institutes, including Yellowstone and North Cascades.  Her block prints are best sellers for Pomegranate Communications, published as calendars, notecards and children’s books (authored by Zoe Burke.)  Teaching and connecting students with nature and cultural history through art experiences are an important part of her artistic journey. www.mollyhashimoto.com
