Flowers are a valuable and rewarding subject for novice and experienced painters alike, but due to their seemingly overwhelming intricacies and details, can be intimidating to paint. In this three-week workshop with Canadian artist Mel Williamson, learn how to overcome your fear of florals by exploring color harmony and composition and learn how to simplify shapes and colors to emphasize what excites you most about this timeless subject. Engaging demonstrations and exercises, along with optional homework assignments, will help you refine your skills and ignite your creativity. Participants will work both from reference images and from real-life blooms, when possible!
