Mark Russell – The Tonalist Landscape (Recording)

In this one-hour presentation, Mark Russell will give an overview of tonalism- its history and definition, color and color mixing using complements; techniques to achieve soft light, atmosphere and luminosity; and simplifying form-and demonstrate methods that he uses to create his tonalist landscape paintings.

Mark Russell has been creating landscape and nature paintings for more than 30 years. He has exhibited his work in group shows, in galleries and museums across the country and won numerous awards. His paintings are included in private and corporate collections. He has degrees from DePaul University and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. markrussellstudio.com
