Join artist Lucy Marks for a warm, inspiring, and engaging three-part workshop all about painting trees in the landscape. Working in both oil and gouache, Lucy will demonstrate her expressive, loose impressionistic approach—both en plein air and back in the studio using sketches gathered outdoors.
This friendly, supportive class welcomes all abilities and all mediums. Whether you prefer oil, gouache, watercolour, or pastel, you’ll be right at home. Lucy is known for her encouraging teaching style and generous feedback, offered both during sessions and on the class message board.
Over the three sessions, you’ll explore how to capture the character, form, and atmosphere of trees while keeping your painting fresh, lively, and loose. Come ready to experiment, learn, and enjoy the process in a relaxed and uplifting environment.
