Lucie Duclos - Working with Stencils and Transparency (Recording) - Free!

Join Lucie Duclos for this fun and informative demo/presentation and discover how she uses stencils to create beautiful and interesting backgrounds in her mixed media artwork. Lucie will play with transparency and build up layers on printmaking paper while exploring different mixed media techniques to create a floral piece. Lucie’s materials for this presentation will include acrylic paints, collage papers, stencils, and maybe a few other things lying around on her desk!

 

Lucie Duclos is a designer, art instructor and mixed media artist living in Victoria, British Columbia. She teaches online classes on Skillshare and CourseCraft and has taught over 15,000 students between the 2 platforms. She works with a lot of different mediums and techniques from pen and ink to watercolor, printmaking, encaustics, collage, acrylics, gouache and bookmaking. 

She was the cover artist for UPPERCASE magazine issue 41 and has been a guest speaker on several international podcasts. You can find her fabrics and wallpaper design on Spoonflower. She is starting to teach at art retreats in Italy in 2022 in addition to her in-person workshops in the US and Canada. She loves to experiment and share inspiration on instagram @lucieduclos.
