Exploring all the subtlety of one of our favorite colors… Blue… in water, skies, objects. We’ll learn which way your blues lean…to warm or cool?  How do they read relative to the colors around them? We will learn how to use the inherent qualities of opacity/transparency/semi-transparency of each blue to your advantage.

Liz Prescott received a BFA in painting from Maine College of Art and and MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Norwich University.  Her work is included in the permanent collections at the Portland Musueum of Art, Colby College, Bowdoin College, New York Public Library, and the University of New England.  She is a member of the Union of Maine Visual Artists (Portland Chapter) and a founding member of Meetinghouse Arts Gallery in Freeport, ME where she remains an active gallery committee member.  She leads plein air workshops at many beautiful spots including Monhegan Island, ME and the Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park.
