Date: Fridays, January 20-February 3, 2023 Time: 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Pacific Time/2:00-4:00 PM Eastern Time/7:00-9:00 PM London Time Level: All Medium: Mixed media
In this this fun workshop with mixed media artist LisaBebi, participants will explore 3 ways to alter black and white photocopies as a jumping off point for creating a painting that will stand on its own or that can be used in journal pages.
Students will learn the following techniques-
1. Photocopy tinting and painting using permanent markers as a base color
2. Working wet-into-wet, starting with an overall glaze
3. Using negative space painting and collage to find poetic in the image
The process for all three methods is to work on paper, adhering the finished piece to a substrate. Instructions for flawlessly adhering the painted paper to a substrate will be covered in class.
The uses for these techniques are endless!
All levels welcome.
