Linda will share her passion for encaustic and demonstrate how it can be combined with other media, including drawing, collage, printmaking, and various painting mediums. Encaustic is one of the oldest painting techniques, made by mixing pure pigment with beeswax and resin, then applying it hot and reheating to fuse the layers. The process allows artists to easily add texture and carve into the wax, creating striking effects. Linda will share both the simplest studio setup and more advanced options, making encaustic an accessible and versatile medium for mixed media artists looking to try something new.
