Join mixed media artist Larry Calkins for a peek inside of his legendary sketchbooks. Larry will be talking about a few of his favorite sketchbook techniques and show you how to create easy sketchbook trace monotypes. Feel free to work along or just watch!

Supply list:

  • tube of black oil paint (other oil colors optional), NOT acrylics
  • watercolor
  • brayer*
  • pencils
  • small piece of plexiglass or glass
  • sketchbook with thinnish pages or copy paper
  • tissue paper (optional)
  • sandpaper (optional)
