This is not a precious painting class.
We begin by tearing paper, gluing fragments, and laying down acrylic color. No overthinking.
No perfect compositions. Just energy, movement, and instinct.
Then we shift.
Oil and cold wax enter the surface — softening, obscuring, revealing. We’ll embed additional
collage into wax layers, scrape passages back, veil areas with translucent color, and allow unexpected
history to emerge. What gets covered isn’t lost — it becomes depth.
This workshop is about transformation. Chaos into cohesion. Fragments into atmosphere. Surface into story.
You’ll learn how to:
• Create bold foundations with collage and acrylic
• Transition seamlessly into oil and cold wax
• Embed paper within wax layers for dimensional texture
• Scrape, veil, and edit for depth
• Let the painting evolve instead of forcing it
Beginners are welcome. Experienced painters — bring your unresolved work and let’s push it further.
Expect layered surfaces. Unexpected moments. And paintings that feel discovered, not manufactured.
