John Seed – Two Films on Bay Area Figurative Art (Recording)

Join John Seed and Martha Jordan for an online viewing of two recent videos John created for YouTube.  The first, “This Should Not Happen” is a 15-minute mini-documentary about the 1957 exhibition that introduced Bay Area Figurative art to the American public. The second is “Experimentation and Tradition: The Art of James Weeks” (8 1/2 minutes) which presents the art and life of a seminal Bay Area artist and  teacher. After each video John and Martha will discuss the content and John will share more information  about what he learned while producing them. John will also offer information about a conference on Bay  Area art that he is planning for the Fall of 2027. Afterwards, there will be time for questions for the audience.
