Jean Mackay – Bird, Nest, Eggs (Online); Thursdays, June 8, 22, July 20 & 27, 2023
Sketch and paint birds, along with their nests and eggs with artist and naturalist Jean Mackay. As you draw and paint, Jean will cover basic bird anatomy to help you better see major features and feather groups. You’ll also learn techniques for drawing and painting nests and eggs as you work to complete a nature journal style painting. The session will also include a focus on page layout, adding text as a graphic element, and recording natural history information.
Note: This class builds upon skills covered in the Art of the Bird class, but participants do not have to have taken that class to enroll.
