Janet will show you her process using a limited palette to explore how light, space, and simplification are used to create an interior painting—all in the comfort of your home or favorite space.

An award-winning artist, Janet Pedersen exhibits her work widely. Recently, several of her dance-themed paintings were chosen to be part of the State Department’s ‘Art in Embassies’ program, celebrating the universal joy and borderless beauty of dance. The exhibition will be on loan for three years at the Residency of the U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzekinski. She teaches ongoing adult workshops through The Art Annex in Park Slope, Brooklyn, as well as private tutoring. She lives in the neighborhood of Park Slope in Brooklyn, NY, next to Prospect Park where she can often be found painting.
