Ian de Hoog – Painting the Northern Cardinal: A Watercolor Paint-Along (Recording) – Free!

Date: Wednesday, December 15, 2021
Medium: Watercolor

When it comes to painting birds in watercolor, Ian De Hoog is the master! Join Ian for this fun 1-1/2-hour watercolor paint-along, painting the iconic Northern Cardinal, a perfect subject for your holiday cards. Ian will provide a photo reference and drawing template. Feel free to use your own drawing.

Ian de Hoog is a Canadian watercolourist and instructor living out on the West Coast of British Columbia. Ian developed an early visual interest in the medium due to the works of Franklin Carmichael and Toni Onley. However, it was during a brief stint studying architecture that a physical love of painting manifested. While primarily self-taught, Ian is very grateful for the recent opportunities he has had to study with Thomas Schaller and Herman Pekel. instagram.com/iandehoogart/
