Artist Debora Stewart will share exercises for artists who would like to work more intuitively in non-objective painting. Techniques may be used for both acrylic painting and pastels on paper. Artists will learn how to loosen up and tap into their intuition, find their unique marks and style, simplify color choices for more harmonious paintings, develop more complex layers, create series of works and evaluate paintings for improvement.
Debora Stewart is a Signature Member and a Master Pastellist of the Pastel Society of America and a member of the Master’s Circle of the International Association of Pastel Societies. She is also the author of a Northlight book titled Abstract Art Painting: Expressions in Mixed Media and a series of videos on abstract painting from Northlight TV.
