Mood is one of the most beautiful and powerful aspects of a painting. It’s largely what captivates buyers. It’s an emotional anchor that hard to ignore. The early American Tonalists knew that quiet low value contemplative scenes had an enduring appeal.
In this three-week course, we will explore old and new masters of mood and I will give you solid touchstones you can use to enhance your work using just lower values. As always I’ll demo each week and talk about what you’re seeing Homework will be critiqued in Procreate so you’ll actually see the changes I recommend.
