In this course, we will learn how to depict nature with precision using ink on scratchboard techniques. Employing the fundamentals of Notan and understanding light/dark contrasts, we will develop realistic textures found in the world around us.
Instructor lecture/demonstrations, a variety of in-class assignments and homework will contribute to developing strong, successful skills and habits; additional critique sessions will offer feedback and encouragement, contributing to student mastery.
