Before spring blooms, as the cool weather offers up the fruits of winter, mushrooms pop up everywhere. Fungi come in many diverse forms, often in striking shapes and colors, providing a wonderful subject for painting. In this 4-week course the shapes and textures of mushrooms will be explored while learning the fundamental (and beyond) of watercolor techniques. Color theory, brush handling, traditional and alternative paint application methods will be covered. Suitable for artists of all skill levels. We will be working from fresh subjects (if available,) as well as photo references to approach composition and design. Have fun this winter with fungi!
