A flower is a wondrous life to behold and we will take the time to see it evolve from fresh bloom to wilted grace. Day 1 will cover composition, ways to consider arrangement of the tabletop or position in the garden, and the START of a painting. Day 2 will cover oil color, palette arrangement, mixing, and how to translate visual experience into tone and abstraction. Day 3 will be all things painterly: viscosity, brush-loading, and wet-into-wet painting.

Classes will include lecture, demo, and Q&A. Just come with your notebook. Classes are recorded. Between classes share your paintings on the message board and enjoy all the time you can with your models: roses, peonies, tulips, cherry blossoms, daisies, iris!
