Expressive brushwork meets strong fundamentals in this fresh, modern approach to painting roses! In this exciting two-week class, you’ll learn simple techniques to help you balance spontaneity with structure to create dynamic, contemporary floral paintings.
Guided by fine artist and teacher Catherine Bobkoski, this class will help you build confidence in drawing by simplifying complex forms and designing clear value shapes. Through layering, controlled edges, and an understanding of light and form, you’ll develop a painterly approach to roses that feels both intentional and expressive. Reference images will be provided, but students are encouraged to paint from direct observation for a deeper connection to their subject.
