In this four-week course, we’ll bridge the worlds of drawing and painting through an immersive, process-driven approach. The first two weeks focus on creating expressive, well-structured charcoal drawings. Students will develop confidence in proportion, value organization, and the use of edges.
In the second half of the course, you’ll transform your most compelling study into a finished painting. Through guided demonstrations (in oil) and personalized feedback, you’ll learn how to translate the language of value into color, refine composition, and explore painterly application techniques.
Whatever genre or medium you work in, this course will help you strengthen your foundation, clarify your visual intent, and bring greater depth, structure, and harmony to your paintings.
