Bernard Dellario – Studio Painting Challenge: Kickstarting your Studio Practice (Online); Wednesdays, January 8-29, 2025

Dates: Wednesdays, January 8-29, 2025
Time: 11:30 AM-1:30 PM Pacific Time, 2:30-4:30 PM Eastern Time, 7:30-9:30 PM London Time
Level: All – a good understanding of your medium required
Medium: Oil, acrylic or gouache – Bernie will work in oil

This class is a fun way to get out of your comfort zone and in the studio to paint. Through a series of “surprise” exercises, students will be challenged to change the way they see and shake things up in their studio practice.  This is a great class to get through the winter doldrums and get painting! Class will be expressed through the oil painting medium but acrylic and gouache are OK. Several instructor demonstrations and individual commentary and critique are provided. There is not a specific materials list, you can use your normal painting supplies although a few special items may be requested in advance of a certain class.  Participants should have a good understanding of their medium of choice. Although there will be a few new exercises this is largely a repeat class if you have taken it before.

What students are saying about Bernard:

“I’ve really loved learning about gouache techniques with Bernie, especially his Dry Method which is so highly portable and carefree. He is great at demonstrating how gouache can be used to craft a painting with a lot of freedom, or a lot of detail – or both” – Meryl E., New York, USA
