Bernard Dellario – January Studio Painting Challenge: Kickstarting Your Studio Practice (Online); Wednesdays, January 4-25, 2023

Level: All – A good working knowledge of the medium of choice required
Medium: Oil, acrylic or gouache – class will primarily focus on oil painting media

This class is a fun way to get out of your comfort zone and in the studio to paint. Through a series of “surprise” exercises, students will be challenged to change the way they see and shake things up in their studio practice.  This is a great class to get through the winter doldrums and get painting! Class will be expressed through the oil painting medium but acrylic and gouache are OK. Several instructor demonstrations and individual commentary and critique are provided. There is not a specific materials list, you can use your normal painting supplies although a few special items may be requested in advance of a certain class. Participants should have a good understanding of their materials.

Bernard Dellario earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with emphasis on finance and art history.  He studied Art at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia and attended several workshops with nationally known artists.  He has been a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters since 2003. Fondly known as WSLP, one of the oldest active artist organizations in the Washington area, Bernard currently serves as President.
