Level: All – A good working knowledge of the medium of choice required
Medium: All – instructor demonstrations will be in oil and gouache

Delve into the complex subject matter of the urban cityscape.  Don’t shy away from these very interesting motifs with their deep shadows and complex forms. This subject matter lends itself to interpretation and abstraction and can be so fun to use as painting inspiration. Topics to be included:

• Simplification
• Thinking Abstractly
• Sighting Angles and applying basic perspective simply
• Choosing subject matter and knowing what to omit

There will be plenty of individual instruction and feedback as well as several demos and extra content.

Bernard Dellario earned a Bachelor’s degree from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA with emphasis on finance and art history.  He studied Art at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia and attended several workshops with nationally known artists.  He has been a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters since 2003. Fondly known as WSLP, one of the oldest active artist organizations in the Washington area, Bernard currently serves as President. He teaches painting classes through several venues, has won national awards and exhibits throughout the Maryland Eastern Shore and Washington, DC region. www.bjdellario.com
